Blackjack Essential Basics - Part 1
The main premise of the card game is to be given cards totaling up to twenty one. Each twenty-one player is handed two cards. When a black jack player is given a 9 or lower value card and an Ace they've been handed a soft hand. When the black jack player receives no Ace it is referred to as a hard hand. Once the cards have been dealt all players at the blackjack table, which includes the dealer, every blackjack player is given the opportunity to make 1 of six decisions:Requesting another card (Hit): When a blackjack player announces "hit me" the dealer will deal him another card, if the addition of that card causes the total greater than twenty one the player will have lost and that is the end of the game, if the card pushes the total to twenty-one the blackjack player is the winner and if the total hasn't yet reached twenty-one they are still in the game.
Keeping the hand you have been given: If a player is satisfied with the cards they'll stay. As soon as this has happened the dealer will show their hand and the player who has accumulated 21 or the closet to 21 will acquire a win.
Doubling Down: A player may request to double down which increases the wager by 100% they have placed. Once you have taken this action you can only be given one more card. The specifics of doubling down are often out lined by the table or casino rules so prior to playing make certain you're familiar with the casino established rules. If you are betting at an online casino this is usually quite easy.
